To promote a healthy Sullivan County community VRH recognizes it must lead by example. VRH has established a smoke-free environment for employees. Our dining services program underwent a complete revision to include low cost "Healthy Value Meals" on a daily basis and healthy food alternatives. And, VRH created an industry-leading exercise and fitness employee reimbursement plan, coupled with significant discounts on medical insurance for those employees who choose to be tobacco-free and participate in annual health risk assessment programs.
Currently, VRH has nearly 500 employees working together to provide excellence in healthcare and patient services. As an organization VRH has a tremendously low employee turnover rate. It's not uncommon for employees to reach 40 plus years of service or find three generations of local families working together. VRH boasts a compensation and benefits structure that is competitive with all hospitals, regardless of their size. And, our Employee Assistance Program is available for all staff members for the many trials and challenges life presents.
