To promote a healthy Sullivan County community VRH recognizes it must lead by example. VRH has established a smoke-free environment for employees. Our dining services program underwent a complete revision to include low cost "Healthy Value Meals" on a daily basis and healthy food alternatives. And, VRH created an industry-leading exercise and fitness employee reimbursement plan, coupled with significant discounts on medical insurance for those employees who choose to be tobacco-free and participate in annual health risk assessment programs.

Currently, VRH has nearly 500 employees working together to provide excellence in healthcare and patient services. As an organization VRH has a tremendously low employee turnover rate. It's not uncommon for employees to reach 40 plus years of service or find three generations of local families working together. VRH boasts a compensation and benefits structure that is competitive with all hospitals, regardless of their size.
