• Valley Regional Hospital is the only rural Critical Access Hospital in New Hampshire to be accredited by The Joint Commission. We submit to an extensive unannounced on-site review by a select team of Joint Commission professionals to evaluate our performance in areas that affect patient/resident care. Because these standards are regarded as the most rigorous in the industry, health care organizations, like VRH, that choose to be evaluated, demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest level of quality care to their patients.
• Valley Regional Hospital also submits to regular surveys conducted by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the federal agency responsible for administering such health-related programs as Medicare, Medicaid and HIPAA. Attaining a deficiency-free patient care survey and subsequent recognition for best overall performance among New Hampshire hospitals is another tremendous testament to the commitment level of our staff and quality of services provided by VRH.
• Last year, Business NH Magazine recognized Valley Regional Hospital as the 2008 NH Healthcare Business of the Year.
• And, two years ago VRH was awarded Press Ganey's coveted Compass Award for leading small hospitals across the country in overall inpatient satisfaction improvement.

Providing outstanding medical care is our mission. We strive to accomplish this in a facility that equals the high standards of our care. This is why, over the next 18 months, you will see and hear construction crews hard at work. Last year, VRH launched a two-year, $22 million, 54,000 square foot construction and renovation project, deemed as the largest in the hospital's 115-year history and with a focus on patient-centered care and medical excellence primary.

It's an ambitious construction plan in a short amount of time. We, once again, raised the bar on our standards of care with medical excellence, outstanding patient satisfaction, community confidence, staff commitment and past performance providing the fuel for our journey.
