Infection Control
Mission:
To decrease the impact of infections and occupational exposures acquired throughout the healthcare continuum through cost-effective interventions implemented on the basis of sound epidemiological principles and collaborative partnerships with all health care providers.
Products & Services:
The Infection Control Department is responsible for:
- Managing critical data and information through developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of surveillance.
- Setting and recommending policies and procedures to prevent adverse events through assuring the appropriateness and feasibility of policies and procedures, compliance with regulations, guidelines and accreditation requirements.
- Direct intervention to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases through education and training.
