Critical Care Unit
The Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Valley Regional Hospital provides intensive care services to stabilize and manage critically ill patients 14 years of age and older. Patients with complex conditions needing continuous observation and monitoring are admitted to the CCU. The CCU is staffed with specially trained and highly qualified nurses, and they take great pride in taking care of our patients and family members.
Our Critical Care Unit has a team approach to meeting the needs of our patients. Our team members include highly skilled nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, dieticians, case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and hospitalist.
With five private accommodation rooms, we emphasize a patient and family centered care environment. We know how important it is for you to see your loved one, just as it is important for the nurses to make sure your loved one is getting the rest they need. That's why we've designed flexible visiting hours, dependent upon the condition of the patient.
