Cardiac Stress TestingCardiac stress testing is one way your doctor can see if chest pain is a sign of coronary artery disease. A cardiac stress test can also predict the chance for future heart attacks in a person who has suffered a first heart attack. It can also determine general fitness and can detect some heart rhythm problems. There are several different types of cardiac stress tests:
Results are usually available at your physician's office 2-3 days after your exam is completed.
