Our Audiologist at Valley Regional Hospital will work with you to identify and monitor your hearing loss to ensure prompt medical diagnosis, treatment and intervention. Our goal of all assessment and treatment services is to help choose and fit hearing aids if warranted. We offer the following hearing services for a variety of ages:

  • Dispensing assistive listening devices
  • Hearing aid evaluations, fittings and repairs
  • Hearing evaluations for children and adults
  • Middle ear assessment
  • Otoacoustic emissions (OAE’s)
  • Preventative hearing care

Bonus – Buy your hearing aids from us, and all routine hearing aid check appointments at Valley Regional Hospital are free of charge. The key to a successful hearing aid fitting is regular visits with the audiologist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are hearing aids covered by Insurance?

Yes, but coverage may very depending on your insurance company. It’s not uncommon for plans to cover nearly 100%. Medicare covers the cost of the hearing test but not hearing aids. Some secondary supplemental insurance may cover part of the cost. Medicaid may provide some reimbursement. Prices range from $800-$3000.

Do you offer any financial assistance programs?

We do have a Hearing Aid Assistance Program called “Hear-Up”. Hear up includes new, affordable hearing aids, the initial programming/fitting, follow up appointments (during 50 day trial period) and follow-up appointments at 6 months & 12 months. Is there a warranty on hearing aids?

All hearing aids come with a warranty of 1 to 4 years, which includes loss and damage.

What is the Prompt-Pay Discount?

If you pay your bill in full within 30 days, you will receive a 15% discount. Not available with Hear-Up program aids.

How long does the hearing test take?

Typically, the test takes 20-30 minutes. If hearing aids are needed, another appointment is scheduled to choose a hearing aid.

Once hearing aids are selected and ordered, how long does it take to get the hearing aids?

Typically, it takes 1-2 weeks to get the hearing aids.
