Did you miss our drive-up flu clinic?
Getting your influenza vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and loved ones against the flu and its potential serious complications. Though the vaccine is not 100% effective, several studies show it reduces the severity of illness in people who get vaccinated but still get sick.
Schedule your influenza vaccine today with your Primary Care Provider (PCP). If you don’t have a PCP, your local Rite Aid/CVS Pharmacy is also providing influenza vaccinations.
According to the CDC: People should talk to their health care provider before getting the flu shot:
- If you ever had Guillain-Barre syndrome (a severe paralyzing illness, also called
GBS). Some people with a history of GBS should not get a flu vaccine.
- If you had a severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of any other flu vaccine.
- If you are not feeling well.
