General Surgery at Valley Regional offers a variety of the most needed specialty care services, provided by our own board-certified physicians, dedicated surgical nurses, as well as a partnership with the Dartmouth Health Anesthesia team.
As of December 2025, we welcome Marissa Mendez, MD, FACS to our Valley Regional Hospital general surgery team. Dr. Mendez brings nearly 5 years of experience from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She brings a strong passion for robotic-assisted surgery, using minimally invasive techniques to treat a range of general surgery conditions leading to reduced post-operative pain and recovery time. We are thrilled to continue caring for her patients and expanding the services we offer in Claremont, NH.

We create a surgical care plan personalized to the needs of each individual patient by considering your past and current health together with labs and results of recent diagnostic tests.
